Focus Reports Developer can create virtually any type of chart or graph from MediSoft data. Follow these steps to create a chart or graph:

1. Create queries to supply the information for the chart or graph. The result table should contain only the information to be used for the chart or graph, generally a label field and a value for each label.
2. Place a DBChart component on the visual designer by clicking the DBChart button in the tool bar and clicking a band in the report.
3. Right-click the DBChart component and select Edit Chart... from the context menu.
4. Create each desired series for the report. A pie chart will have one series while a graph will have one series for each trace on the graph.
5. Choose the data source for the chart or graph by clicking Series on the top row of tabs and Data Source on the second row of tabs.
6. Select the data pipeline (query), the label field from the data pipeline and the field that contains the values to be charted or graphed.
7. Click Close to save the settings for the chart or graph.
